Filipino Spaghetti-the Manyaman Style (Try out my Recipe below!)
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 Pack of Spaghetti Pasta
3 Tbs of Olive Oil
5 Cloves of Garlic (Minced)
1 Onion (Minced)
1 Red Bell Pepper (Sliced Thin)
4 Tbs. Brown Sugar
1 Bottle of Banana Ketchup (I like the Jufran Brand, Available in Asian/Filipino Stores)
1 Bottle of Classico Pasta Sauce (Pick any flavor or brand you like)
1 small can of Tomato Sauce/Tomato Paste
1 Pound of Ground Pork
1 Pound of Ground Beef
4 Hot Dogs (Sliced anyway you like)
Salt & Pepper to taste
HOW ITS COOKED:
(Have a separate pot of water ready to boil the Pasta-Follow cooking instructions on Pasta package)
In a pot, Heat Olive Oil
Fry sliced hot dogs until slightly golden brown, then set aside
In the same pot, saute Garlic & Onion for about 3 minutes.
Add the Ground Pork & Ground Beef (Let simmer for about 10 minutes until cooked)
Add in Tomato Sauce
Add in Pasta Sauce
Add in Banana Ketchup
Add in Brown Sugar
Lightly Stir all ingredients and let simmer for about 15-20 minutes on low heat
Add in Red Bell Pepper
Add in Salt & Pepper to taste then turn off heat
Have a platter of cooked pasta ready to top with sauce
Top with Eden Cheese or your favorite grated Cheese
